Who We Are
Doug Minnick has left half his hair behind - and half his life - in the music business in Los Angeles to focus on capturing people’s life stories before it is too late. Unfortunately, he did not accomplish that when his own parents passed away recently. But the loss propelled him to launch The Legacy Masters for other people to learn from his own lack of action and to do something constructive about it before that precious time runs out. Doug lives in Studio City, California with his wife of 19 years and their two young sons.
Dan Erland Andersen has plenty of hair left - and he hasn't pulled it out yet even after twenty years in the broadcast industry. Dan is a professional Broadcast Journalist and Documentarian and belongs to the new breed of Journalists that can shoot and edit entirely on their own. Dan and his wife live in Burbank with their 11 year old son.
Our Business
The Legacy Masters was formed when Doug lost his mom before he was able to capture the stories, memories, and family history that she held and loved to share.
Saddened and frustrated at the lost opportunity, he decided that he would make it possible for other children of aging parents to preserve these valuable but fragile memories by making it easy, efficient, and comfortable for their parents.
Partnered with professional journalist and documentarian, Dan Erland Anderson, we are able to create extremely high quality video biographies that will stand the test of time.
